Religion is an irrational concept. Just read a little farther before you leave my website.
My reading of the Bible doesn't create hundreds of conflicting interpretations. The conflicts are either created by individuals or small groups. This interpretation is then used to create a new sect or denomination. You constantly hear things like, "Why would GOD allow this to happen." Or sports figures thank GOD for a touchdown and homerun. Obvioulsy, the ones blaming GOD for an event are parroting what they've seen or heard. There's no rational reading of the Bible that shows GOD directing cars into trees or triggering a heart attack. If there really is a GOD who's all powerful, everyone would live a life of bliss. Do you abuse your dogs and cats? Do you walk your dog into traffic to get run over by a car? NO! Logically, a GOD would not walk you into adversity either.
Maybe you're responsible for your successes and failures. Maybe you're responsible for your dumb actions.
Perhaps YOU did it yourself.

Here's a shocker. If you believe in GOD, heaven and hell, and redemption, you're in big trouble. A prime
example would be those that collect welfare. Based upon my reading of the Bible, all those people are
going to HELL!
Here's another shocker. You can't get salvation on your death bed. The idea of seeking forgiveness is based upon your desire and ability to live your life forward in a good and beneficial way. If you're on your deathbed, you'll die without the ability to prove your intent. GUILT is how churches and their operators extract money from people. Just think how much good would be done for the truly needy with all the billions spent to build those fancy churches. I'm just throwing out random thoughts here because you need enough fuel to want to continue reading the posts I'll be making throughout the rest of my life. I don't want to convert anyone. You will benefit only from a diverse point of view. |
